I consider myself to be an artist first and then a photographer. Like many artists, my occupation is a big part of who I am. Photography has been a part of my life since high school and my livelihood for the last 25 years. Images are always swirling around in my mind, some are real, some aren't. My job as an artist is to turn my thoughts into reality and make it an image with a tool -my camera. Voila!

Portrait photography chose me. I have a general curiosity about people. After a successful shoot, full of talking and learning about someone, I feel like I have a new interesting friend.
